Long Dress — Seven Everyday Looks

September 26, 2026

Seven everyday looks built around one long dress: a close-cut short-sleeved bodice, a narrow belt cut from the same cloth, and a straight skirt falling to the ankle, in cream, deep emerald, terracotta, soft lilac, camel and light grey.

The fabric is a heavy acetate blend with a dry matte finish and a fine diagonal twill that only reads when the light rakes across it.

The sleeves are cut close and stop at mid-upper-arm, the round neckline sits just below the collarbone, and a row of small shell buttons runs from the neckline down the centre front to the narrow belt, which closes on a matte square metal buckle.

The skirt hangs to the ankle with a hem of even depth all round. Two colourways are shown twice on the same night footbridge, one of them in a second variation of the same frame.

The shoes change with the setting: nude strappy heels with thin leather straps crossing the instep and wound twice round the ankle, closed at the outer side with a small gold buckle; and pearl-white satin pointed pumps with a matching thin ankle strap set with a row of rice-grain pearls.

The jewellery stays the same throughout — a slim gold chain bracelet worn loose at one wrist, a narrow matte band at the other, and a fine gold ring set with a single rice-grain pearl.

The settings are everyday places: a night footbridge above the traffic; a library between tall shelves; the pavement outside a small cafe after rain; a kitchen bar under a warm pendant; a market stall at dusk; and a riverside boardwalk at golden hour.
